2 May 2017 - Elmhurst Rugby is dedicated to the growth of rugby within and beyond our Elmhurst community. A partnership with Strategic Solutions will make this goal reality.
Deb Parkerson Casey founded Strategic Solutions in 2011 to assist small business owners with strategic planning and marketing. Prior to establishing her company, Deb ran a small marketing research company for 15 years, managing operations including marketing, human resources and accounting. A rare blend of business acumen, growth and strategic planning, as well as an understanding of what a small business needs to succeed, Deb is an asset to our future growth.
28 April 2017 - Elmhurst Rugby traveled to Marine Leadership Academy to play a Friday night game under the lights. The Elmhurst boys started slow, with Marine leading in points, 15-0, through the first 20 minutes of play. Elmhurst would not give up and Nicholas Bauer ignited a fire from a free kick trapped deep in Elmhurst territory. Bauer took the kick himself, charging up the field and recovering the ball after a single bounce before the opposing fullback could put hands on the ball. Bauer touched the ball down for Elmhurst’s first score of the night. Ryan Blessing converted the try.
23 April 2017 - Tremendous performance this weekend for the Elmhurst boys vs Forest City. Just three weeks ago, Elmhurst lost a match against this same Forest City side, 40-15, which shows the significant improvement and effort from our Elmhurst Rugby Club in such a brief period of time.
14 April 2017 - Elmhurst Rugby played their first home match as hosts to the Chicago Blaze. A larger and more senior club, Chicago Blaze showed experience in rucks and recycled the ball into multiple phases throughout much of the first half. The heavy rain did not deter either side who battled incredibly tough with enormous hits and tackles.
24 March 2017 - Pints becomes the official rugby headquarters in Elmhurst to provide all rugby families, fans and enthusiasts the opportunity to view televised matches in a great, family-friendly environment. Showing their support not only for Elmhurst Rugby Club, but the sport we love so much, Pints is truly a remarkable partner in our Elmhurst Community.
Pints Elmhurst is a family freindly, neighborhood Sports Pub and Restaurant that features gourmet burgers, sandwiches, salads and tasty appetizers all served by a friendly, attentive staff. Serving over 20 craft brews on tap and 50 more bottles, Pints is the ideal local pub to enjoy a bevarage not available elsewhere.
4 March 2017 - Elmhurst Rugby marched today in the Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. We were very proud to walk alongside Pints of Elmhurst with whom we've partnered to expose more of our community to the fine sport of rugby.
Our boys also had a chance to visit with Dr. Mike Calcagno of Olympia Chiropractic and Physical Therapy. Dr. Mike took time to share with the club his experiences with rugby, how it shaped him into the man he is today, and stressed his continued support of Elmhurst Rugby. Olympia also served as a Gold Sponsor for the Parade, just one example of Olympia's exeptional dedication to our community.
20 February 2017 - Elmhurst Rugby is very proud to announce our partnership with Olympia Chiropractic and Physical Therapy, a pillar of the Elmhurst community and a catalyst to the growth of rugby.
Doctors Michael and Pat Calcagno both played rugby in their high-school and college years. Pat pursued his career after being inspired by the chiropractic care he received as a teenage rugby player. Mike had a similar experience in returning to competition from a football injury after only nine days of chiropractic treatment.
